Rost Martin Firearms is announcing a tritium-sight upgrade for its 9mm compact, polymer-framed RM1C pistol. The Rost Martin RM1C is a striker-fired pistol with a 4-inch-long barrel based on the popular Glock-pattern action. The company has partnered with Hiviz to offer the flagship RM1C pistol with HiViz LiteWave H3 front sight. This is a tritium/fiber-optic front sight with a white ring for optimum visibility and quick target acquisition regardless of the surrounding environmental light conditions.

LiteWave H3 sights are slightly different from the traditional tritium, or H3, night sights because those tend to encase the tritium vial itself. On the other hand, the HiViz LiteWave design places a small section of green fiber optic rod in front of the tritium vial. This accomplishes two things: It pulls the glow of the tritium through the fiber optic rod and it also catches ambient light (if possible) like a standard fiber-optic front sight. The result is a hybrid system that Hiviz says offers the best of both worlds for the shooter and provides the shooter with an extremely bright and easy to see analog front sight regardless of what kind of lighting conditions they may be shooting in.

“This is the first upgraded feature package offered directly from the factory by Rost Martin,” said Rost Martin CEO Chris Toomer. “We’ve been looking forward to partnering with HiViz since our launch, and we’re excited to offer our customers such a premium sight on an already feature-rich platform.
