Daniel Defense is rebooting and relaunching the Daniel H9, a 9mm double-stack, striker-fired pistol based on the original H9 pistol from the now defunct Hudson Manufacturing Company. The original Hudson models set out to blend the best features that shooters have come to love about 1911s and combine them with a modern striker-fired trigger and double-stack frame, and now Daniel Defense wants to take that one step further.

The latest Daniel H9 pistols have a revised feature set including an upgraded recoil-spring assembly with a dual spring set up, a redesigned backstrap that allows for a deeper firing grip and a revised cold-hammer-forged barrel. Daniel Defense took on these upgrades voluntarily following the original release of the Daniel H9 at the 2024 SHOT Show.

"Our customers are at the heart of everything we do," said Rod Reasen, CEO of Daniel Defense. "Their trust and input drive us to continuously improve. We don’t just build firearms; we create lifelong relationships with our customers by listening to their needs and standing behind our products 100 percent. With this relaunch, we’re proud to offer a handgun that reflects Daniel Defense’s unwavering commitment to quality and the highest standards of firearm manufacturing. The relaunch of the Daniel H9 marks a new era of innovation, reliability, and performance for the brand. We’re excited to bring this redesigned handgun to our loyal customers and firearm enthusiasts everywhere, continuing our tradition of American-made excellence, backed by the Daniel Defense 100 Percent Lifetime Guarantee.”

Daniel Defense backs all Daniel H9 pistols with a lifetime warranty, including all units that were sold prior to this relaunch. To learn more about the Daniel Defense H9 9mm pistol or other firearms they sell visit danieldefense.com.
