Maxim Defense PDX-SD

Maxim Defense is now offering the Maxim Defense PDX-SD personal-defense weapon with an integrated suppressor chambered in .300BLK and 7.62x39mm.

The PDX-SD gives you the power of a centerfire rifle round in a conveniently sized package and tops it off with a suppressor for reduced signature and increased comfort. The PDX-SD has a short, 5.5-inch barrel barrel and was initially chambered in 5.56 NATO. These new models are now chambered in .300BLK and 7.62x39mm, and offer three color choices: Black, Arid (similar to Flat Dark Earth) and Urban Grey. The built-in “soup can” silencer, with an outer diameter of 2.25 inches, significantly reduces noise and gas emissions, makes this firearm stealthier and more comfortable to operate.

“The PDX-SD is a testament to Maxim Defense’s knack for innovation and relentless pursuit of perfection,” said David Farrell, Vice President of Sales, Maxim Defense. “The addition of these two popular chambers makes the PDX-SD an exceptional personal defense weapon.”

The PDX-SD is not just a combination of a rifle and a suppressor. Instead, Maxim Defense conceived it as an integrated system where each component works together, allowing for efficient maintenance and easy upgrades and replacement parts. On the range, the PDX-SD shoots like a high-end competition gun and remains quiet and balanced, thanks to the finely-tuned gas system. With an overall weight of 7.6 pounds, it is specially designed for compactness without sacrificing performance, providing a comfortable shooting experience and making it well-suited for defense and tactical operations.

My friend and I have a few different handguns we use on a regular basis. Some are for competition, some are for personal defense, some are for casual shooting and I even hunt big game with a handgun.
