MasterPiece Arms (MPA) is known for making high-performance pistols, chassis systems and bolt-action rifles, and now the company is adding the new MPA DS9 Commander to the wide-body, double-stack 1911 pistol lineup. The accuracy, reliability and smaller size of this gun is well-suited for use as an everyday carry pistol, along with peace of mind due to MPA’s lifetime warranty.

There are no MIM, castings, or forgings in the 9 mm DS9 Commander Pistol. Rather, all the parts of the pistol are machined in the U.C. from bars stock and billet. The machined components include the classic length light rail frame, TriTop slide, 4.25 inch MPA 416R stainless bull barrel, stainless steel beavertail/grip safety, stainless steel ambidextrous safety, stainless steel slide stop, firing pin stop, ejector, carry magwell, and 7075 black anodized aluminum grip.

The DS9 Commander Pistol also includes a Koenig hammer, sear, and disconnect, Wolff Springs, custom machined aluminum trigger shoe, a true one-piece stainless guide rod, and a 3.5-pound trigger pull. The FGW-style slide serrations have a stepped inset to create additional gripping texture. Each pistol is hand-built with the slide hand-lapped the frame for an optimal fit and comes in a custom MPA single pistol case with two 126 mm MBX magazines.
