Hogue Knives rolled out the latest blade in its Out the Front series of automatic knives: the Compound. The knife features a hybrid design, which blends an aluminum chassis enclosed by a G10 fiberglass-laminate frame. The machined 6061-T6 aluminum internal casing is Type III hard-anodized to offer a smooth bearing surface for blade contact, providing not just smooth, clean looks but also extreme strength when the blade is deployed.

The outside appearance of the knife is completed with an external, weather resistant, G10 material. This attention to detail results in a knife that is built with the strength to withstand even the most rigorous of tasks with maintaining the durability to open time after time.

The Compound uses a 0.1250inch CPM S30V stainless steel blade that is designed to give you the optimal combination of toughness, wear and corrosion resistance. The 3.5-inch tanto or clip point blades are stone-washed or sealed with a black PVD coating and hand-sharpened and honed to a keen edge. The blade is controlled by a double-action automatic trigger for deployment and retraction, and the frame is finished with a deep carry, tip-down ambidextrous pocket clip.

The Compound’s comfortable, geometrically honeycombed G10 exterior is manufactured from a variety of Hogue’s G-Mascus or from solid-black G10. Designed and manufactured in the USA, the Compound reflects the skill and craftsmanship of Hogue’s three generations of manufacturing expertise.

MSRP on the Compound starts at $359.95, and more information is available at hogueinc.com.
