Heritage Settler Series

Heritage Firearms, a company known for making traditionally styled firearms with an Old West flair, is unveiling the new rimfire Settler lever-action family. Heritage Firearms distinguishes each firearm in this product family via a signature case hardened receiver, and there are currently three different products in the collection. These include a 20-inch-barrel rifle, a 16.5-inch-barrel carbine and a 12.5-inch-barrel “Mare’s Leg” large-format lever-action pistol. All three firearms are chambered for the classic .22 LR rimfire cartridge which is fed into the action via a tubular magazine.

Heritage Firearms builds the Settler family with aluminum alloy receivers and hardwood furniture. As aluminum does not respond to the process and chemicals used for case hardening, a creative simulated version is applied to maintain the look and feel of the Old West.

“Heritage's introduction of the new Settler series is guided by our vision to honor the authentic spirit of the American West," said Laura Prieto, Heritage Marketing Communications Coordinator. "We believe this line of rifles will resonate with our customers as well as our beloved Rough Rider revolvers have.”

My friend and I have a few different handguns we use on a regular basis. Some are for competition, some are for personal defense, some are for casual shooting and I even hunt big game with a handgun.
