First Look: Full Forge Gear Featherweight Level IV Plates

MKS Supply and Full Forge Gear have partnered up to launch an ultra-lightweight 10x12-inch shooter’s cut ballistic panel with NIJ Level IV of projectile impact resistance.

These new Full Forge Gear Featherweight Level IV plates use modern materials and manufacturing techniques to keep the weight down and increase wearer comfort. Each ballistic panel weighs less than 6 pounds and is designed around being worn for extended periods of time without inducing wearer fatigue or discomfort. The “shooter’s cut” refers to the angle of the top left and right “corners” of a ballistic panel, and Full Forge Featherweight Level IV panel added this feature with wearer maneuverability in mind.

"We are thrilled to introduce the FeatherWeight Level IV Armor Plate to our lineup," said Kara Brown-Boesenberg, EVP MKS Supply. "This plate represents our commitment to providing the highest quality tactical gear to professionals and civilians alike. With its unmatched protection and comfort, we believe it exceeds the standard in the industry, and we back that with a five-year warranty."

Full Forge Gear Featherweight Level IV Plates Specifications:

  • Protection Level: NIJ Level IV (National Institute of Justice Standard 0101.06)
