European American Armory and Girsan are bringing another wide-body, double-stack 1911 to market: The new Girsan Witness 2311 Match. This single-action 9mm pistol is configured for match shooting and action-pistol-shooting-sport disciplines such as IPSC or USPSA with competition iron sights, a full-size frame and 5-inch barrel. For a retail price of $989, European American Armory and Girsan have crammed as many features as possible in order to provide a competitive product that’s also match ready. The Girsan Witness 2311 Match’s rear sight assembly comes off to reveal a factory cut Shield RMS/RMSc-footprint pattern, one of the most popular optics footprints out there, especially for 1911- and 2011-pattern pistols. which have slimmer profile slides.
