CZ-USA has released the CZ Shadow 2 Orange pistol, designed and manufactured for the competitive shooter who wants to win.
The Orange 2 is a variation of CZ-USA's very popular CZ Shadow 2 pistol, which is currently in use in USPSA & IPSC Production Division events. The pistol is a nod to previous premium CZ-USA products and features new aluminum grip panels that are finished in hi-vz orange. The magazines also have matching orange aluminum basepads. However, the improvements in this Shadow model go far beyond the color choices.
The Orange 2 turns up the Shadow 2 up a notch. The trigger, hammer, and sear are hand-fitted for exacting precision, and the barrel is polished and has a new bushing to improve accuracy. The trigger is tuned for a smooth, crisp release and offers a short reset.
The CZ Shadow 2 Orange is also equipped with a competition hammer and an adjustable aluminum magazine release catch. The gun also features an extended safety, and a set of flat safeties and a flat slide stop can be purchased separately.
Like the original Shadow 2, the CZ Shadow 2 Orange sports aggressive checking on the aluminum grips for a solid grip, even when the shooter's hands are dirty and sweaty from running stages. The front and backstrap are checkered as well.
Like the original Shadow 2, the pistol has a fiber-optic front sight that is paired with a serrated, black HAJO rear sight that is click adjustable for elevation and drift adjustable for windage, allowing shooters to pick up the sights quickly as they move between targets. The higher beavertail and undercut trigger guard provide additional stability, and the swappable magazine release has an adjustable, extended button with three settings.
