Canik Firearms recently unveiled the latest addition to its popular Mete product family, the new Canik Mete MC9 Prime.

The Mete MC9 Prime is one of the first models from Canik fully produced and manufactured in America at Canik’s recently opened Florida-based manufacturing facility.

the new Mete MC9 Prime is built on the same style of polymer frame and uses the same slides as the original Canik MC9 micro-compact pistols. The width of the pistol is only 1.16 inches, which is less than the typical double-stack standard compact 9mm pistol. This new model also has both slide lightening cuts and integrated ports to compensate for muzzle flip. It also includes the same trigger found in Canik’s higher performance pistols such as the Canik TTI Combat and the Rival series. As a member of the Mete family, its slide best works with red-dot optics that use the Shield Sights RMSc or Holosun-K footprint patterns. Canik’s optics division, Mecanik is also launching a new enclosed-emitter carry red-dot sight, the Mecanik M04 along with the MC9 Prime.
