Bond Arms has just unveiled a new .44 Mag. chambered single shot Derringer style pistol, the new Bond Arms Cyclops .44 Magnum.

The Bond Arms Cyclops has a break open action to load and extract fired casings, and its single action hammer must be manually cocked each time prior to shooting. There is no manual safety, so “cocked and locked” carry is not recommended for this pistol.

This .44 caliber Bond Arms pistol follows in the footsteps of the Bond Arms’ 45-70 Gov’t chambered Cyclops which was released earlier this year. After feedback and demand from its customers, Bond Arms continued to develop a .44 Mag. version following the 45-70 model’s launch. One of the features on this new release is less laser engraving around the muzzle compared to the original .45-70 Gov’t Cyclops model, which came as a request from Bond Arms’ customers.

The name Cyclops is a reference to a Greek mythological creature known for having a single eye. The majority of Bond Arms derringer-style pistols have two barrels. The Cyclops product line which only has one barrel, hence the play in words with the model’s name. One of the key reasons the Bond Arms engineering team designed the Cyclops product family with only one barrel was to reinforce the chamber and add extra weight for use with large bore, straight wall cartridges. The new Bond Arms .44 Rem Mag Cyclops has an MSRP of $650. For more information on this pistol or other products from Bond Arms, please visit bondarms.com.
