Armament Systems and Procedures specializes in producing tactical tools for professionals, and one of the company's latest products is the ASP XT DF tactical flashlight. This all-new illumination tool is purpose-built to provide consumers with a high-output, daily use flashlight that can be easily programmed by end users with the output capabilities they need.

Each XT DF tactical light is constructed with a housing machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy finished with a hard-coat anodized treatment that provides protection against wear and weather. Inside the light, users will find a parabolic reflector paired with a Cree XPG LED light that provides a bright, white light for area illumination. Surrounding the center of the aluminum housing is the company's foamed vinyl grip, an exclusive feature to ASP lights that offer added texture for an enhanced grip in all conditions.

At its highest setting, the ASP XT DF tactical flashlight provides a maximum output of 600 lumens. A secondary output level is user-programmable to provide one of four different output options: 15, 60 or 150 lumens or a blinding strobe. The light operates using an intuitive tailcap pressure switch. A single press of the switch provides all 600 lumens, and a second tap steps the light down into one of the user-selected secondary modes. The tailcap switch also rotates between three separate positions, enabling consumers to choose between intermittent, constant-on or locked output options.

Spec-wise, the XT DF light measures 6.25 inches long, 1.4 inches in diameter and weighs 6.72 ounces with batteries installed. The light provides a maximum beam distance of 238 yards and has a total run time of 3.75 hours.

The light ships with a single 18650 rechargeable battery, but the company's Dual Fuel technology enables the XT DF to also use two commonly available CR123A single-cell batteries for power. In addition to the rechargeable battery, the tool also ships with a battery-storage case, charging cord, AC adapter, 12V car adapter, removable pocket clip and a zippered travel case made from ballistic nylon.

Each ASP XT DF light can be used in conjunction with a number of the company's accessories, including traffic wands and the hands-free tactical light case. The suggested retail price on the XT DF tactical light is $160.
