Aimpoint, Inc. is now distilling the finer points of the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 micro red-dot sight for pistols and putting them into a new sight, the Aimpoint ACRO C-2. Like the ACRO P-2, the new ACRO C-2 is an enclosed-emitter, duty-rated red-dot sight. However, this sight is optimized for carbine or long-gun use. This allows carbine shooters to retain the same compact and lightweight benefits of the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 but take advantage of a smaller 2.5 MOA aiming point, which yields better precision at longer distances.

The new Aimpoint ACRO C-2 micro red-dot sight has a starting retail price of $599. This unit uses the original Aimpoint ACRO P series footprint or mounting standard, and Aimpoint is also shipping the optic with a standard-height Picatinny ACRO mount. Customers can choose a mount manufactured by Reptilia, B&T or Scalarworks. Aimpoint ACRO C-2s also include front and rear flip up lens covers, T10 Torx Aimpoint battery cap combination tool and a CR2032 battery.
