Winchester's PDX 1 loads have quickly established a reputation as great defensive handgun ammunition. They expand—regardless of barrel length—and, with the exception of the .380 ACP PDX1 load, they always penetrate a foot or more in 10-percent ordnance gelatin. This is a +P offering with a 124-grain bullet, so recoil is not mild, at least by 9 mm standards.
