It also creates a wickedly wide wound cavity due to its high impact velocity. While expansion and wound cavity size are not as large as the 100- or 115-grain Speer GoldDot loads in this chambering, penetration is, for all practical purposes, identical. And, the Federal American Eagle load is a good bit less expensive.
