They used to tell bad guys “You can run, but you can’t hide.” With recent developments in optics, running might be the only option, as hiding is increasingly out of the question, and even at that, they’ll have to run much farther than ever before. Traditional riflescopes still dominate, but they are being increasingly challenged by digital and thermal-imaging scopes that are progressively adding features, even as their prices fall. Additionally, laser rangefinders are now coming to be regarded as essential gear rather than extravagances, while digital recording and even live streaming allow the sharing and close analysis of visual information. There’s lots new to see in the optics world, but we winnowed down the new offerings to what most caught our eye for 2016.
Aimpoint 6XMag-1 Magnifier
