The shoulder holster is an icon of American gun culture. They’ve been the holster of choice for tough-talking private detectives packing their gats in under their raincoats as well as unshaven vice cops working the streets of South Florida. While shoulder holster systems have waned in popularity recently, they are still a popular option for law enforcement and some armed citizens. Galco’s Classic Lite 2.0 shoulder system has been upgraded to include a double magazine carrier.

Galco is known for making comfortable and versatile shoulder holster systems that have helped set an industry standard. The Classic Lite 2.0 offers all of that comfort and versatility by using the same connectors as their more professional lineup of shoulder holsters. This allows the Classic Lite 2.0 to achieve the same great fit and function, including their trademarked clover shape Flexalon swivel back plate.

The Premium Center Cut Steerhide construction of the holster allows Galco to offer the consumer a reasonably priced shoulder system that has a proven track record. The 2.0 system includes the holster along with a harness, double magazine carrier and a set of harness fasteners. The Classic Lite 2.0 also accepts optional modular accessories and components such as tie downs that are purchased separately.

Classic Lite 2.0 Features

  • Premium Center Cut Steerhide
  • Horizontal gun carry
  • Vertical double magazine carrier with secure flaps for autos
  • Comfortable medium-width harness with swiveling Flexalon backplate
  • Accepts tie-downs/cuff case/accessory attachments

The Classic Lite 2.0 is available in natural-color Premium Center Cut Steerhide for select semi-auto pistols in either right- and lefthand draw. Galco will soon be offering the shoulder holster system for various revolvers in the near future. The Classic Lite 2.0 has an MSRP of $129, and more information on this product and other gear from Galco is available at galcousa.com

My wife and I have “his and hers” Ruger SP101s chambered in .357 Mag., although we only shoot .38 Spl. ammunition in them because of the recoil from the magnum loads.
