First Look: Ed Brown FX2 1911 with Trijicon RMRcc

Ed Brown Products is expanding the FX Series of 1911 pistols with the introduction of the new FX2 line.

Ed Brown Products is known for making some of the highest-quality, traditionally-designed 1911s on the market, and it also leads the field with innovative, cutting-edge 1911s. The FX2 shares some features with its predecessor, the FX line, such as FX slide cuts, American flag serrations, and recessed slide stop with serrated pin. The FX2 puts these features in a Commander Bobtail configuration, along with Brown’s popular Snakeskin treatment and the option for either .45 ACP or 9 mm chambering.

Sales and marketing director John May said, “We are proud to be teaming up with Trijicon with the launch of their new RMRcc and no better platform for it than the FX2. This pistol was built with our customer in mind, giving them the highest quality 1911 with the highest quality carry optic available. If you haven’t checked out Ed Brown in a while, it’s time to look again.”

The FX2 is topped with Trijicon's new RMRcc red dot sight, along with an Ed Brown designed co-witness rear sight and AmeriGlo orange front sight, making the FX2 ideal for concealed carry. The pistol is finished in Industrial stainless for an edgy look, and the  black accents on the trigger and barrel bushing tie nicely with the black G10 grips. All FX2 guns are hand built with fully-machined parts, completely customizable and backed by a lifetime warranty.
