It’s becoming increasingly popular to use a red dot sight as a sighting device for your centerfire pistol. However, the sheer size of a red dot makes them hard to mount on smaller guns like Springfield HellcatSIG Sauer P365 or Glock 43 and 48.

Shield Sights is a pioneer of compact micro red dot optics for compact pistols, and now the company is teaming up with Glock Inc. to present the new Glass Edition RMSc red dot sight. This new optic is designed to work on guns that are milled to accept other models of Shield red dot sights, and it works especially well with Glock’s new MOS versions of the 43X and 48.

“Collaborating with great companies such as Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, Walther, Canik, and SIG Sauer on creating subcompact optic-ready platforms has been a strengthening experience for our brand and has driven users to recognize our unique features and the high quality products that we offer,” said James White, CEO Shield Sights. “I feel the latest collaboration with a company I respect greatly, Glock, Inc., solidifies the Shield footprint as the new industry standard for sub-compact optic ready pistols.”

The Glass Edition of the Shield RMSc red dot sight comes standard with clear and scratch resistant glass lens that was previously only available as a custom option on other sights. The new Glass Edition also features a strengthened lens housing and upgraded electronics with improved battery contacts to further enhance reliability under all conditions.

RMSc Glass Edition Features

  • Shield slide footprint
  • All glass lens
  • Strengthened lens housing
  • Updated electronics
  • 4 MOA and 8 MOA dot options
  • 1-3 year battery life

The RMSc Glass Edition has an MSRP of $500. More information on this red dot sight and other products from Shield sights is available at shieldpsd.com.
