Apex Tactical Specialties is known for making top-quality trigger kits and aftermarket accessories for a variety of guns. Now it is expanding its aftermarket upgrade options for the SD and SDVE model pistols from Smith & Wesson with the addition of an Apex Threaded Barrel specifically for the SD9 and SD9VE.

These new barrels are designed to replace the factory 4-inch barrel. The Apex 9 mm Threaded Barrel is machined from a premium cold-hammer-forged blank and then black Melonite finished. The barrels are a drop-in add-on to your 9 mm Smith & Wesson SD9 or SD9VE and are threaded for the easy addition of a suppressor or other muzzle device.

The twist rate on the barrel  is 1:10-inch for improved accuracy performance and the thread pattern is 1/2–28. Each barrel comes with a thread protector with a captive o-ring. As a direct drop-in, this barrel requires no fitting.

The Apex Threaded Barrel for the SD9 and SD9VE can be ordered online at the company's website. Additional upgrades available on the Apex Tactical website include Action Enhancement Kits in either Black or FDE and Plus 3 Extended Bade Pads for 9 mm or .40 S&W models.
