First Look: SAR USA 2000 9 mm Pistol

Sarsilmaz is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of firearms, and now SAR USA is launching the new SAR 2000 pistol line here in the U.S. The rugged all-steel, hammer-fired SAR 2000 pistol is designed as a duty and defensive pistol for military officers, and is a favorite among military and police forces around the world.

“It is truly unprecedented that we can offer real-world military and police proven products to the U.S. consumer,” said Todd Pearson, COO of SAR USA. “There is no better way to validate the quality, performance and reliability of the SAR 2000 than to have the chosen by elite forces all over the world.”

The new SAR 2000 line is offered in single/double action and features a 4.5-inch hammer-forged barrel with recessed crown for increased accuracy, along with an alloy forged steel and forged stainless steel frame and slide. Other features include an ergonomic trigger guard, a Picatinny rail for accessories along with a dovetail rear sight and changeable front sight.

The 9 mm SAR 2000 offers a choice of two 17-round magazines or of two 10-round magazines for states with capacity restrictions and is offered in either a blued or stainless finish. The military grade SAR 2000 service pistol is based on one of the world’s most tried and proven pistol designs, making it a must-have for any gun enthusiast, as well as an effective defensive pistol.
