Doublestar may be known to most gun owners for making outstanding AR-15 pattern rifles and pistols, including the ARP-7 pistol, and also 1911 style guns like the PhD 1911. However, for years now, the company's DSC Blade Division has turning out some world-class knives in a variety of shapes and sizes. With the new Ahab Knife continues that blade-making tradition by making a discreet fixed-blade knife designed for everyday carry.

An easily-deployed fixed blade knife carried on the belt near the centerline can be a useful tool in a number of emergency situations or the help out in retaining your sidearm. The Ahab is well-suited to this role, as it was designed by Rob “Filo” Cabrera, the head of DoubleStar’s blade division, to be carried on your belt for quick and easy access in a variety of situations.

The blade on the Ahab is made from 1084 carbon steel with a swedged spine at the point to provide for better penetration. The handle is made from textured G10 and is attached with screws for easy maintenance. The knife has an oversized thumb ring that useful even when you’re wearing gloves. The sheath for the Ahab is Kydex, with well-placed and versatile eyelet locations and adaptability to a variety of mounting systems and a precision thumb break to give you the best balance between retention and fast deployment.
