Mounting an optic is one of those tasks made much easier with the right kind of gear. When you're out in the field or at the range, the last thing you'll want to worry about is your optic being slightly canted one way or the other or your scope rings loosening under recoil. Make sure your optic is mounted correctly and securely with these four must-have products:

A.
A simple and easy solution to correct improperly mounted optics, the Straight Shot Segway Reticle Leveler Tactical requires little skill to use. Simply place the leveler’s squares on either side of the mounted optic. (Each square is double-sided with lines of varying thickness to accommodate those with differing vision.) Expand the included rubber bands around the bottom of the rifle’s receiver and onto each of the leveler’s hooks to anchor it in place. The small, removable adapter fits into any Picatinny rail for added stability. Then, adjust and/or reposition your scope in the rings so that the reticle crosshair aligns with the lines of the leveler. MSRP: $19.99 straightshotllc.com

B. CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, the Warne LRSKEL30TG Extended Skeletonized MSR Mount features a built-in 20-MOA rise that allows for additional elevation adjustments when shooting distances in excess of 600 yards. The weight is a scant 6.7 ounces thanks to its skeletonized body and ring caps. Compared to its predecessor, the LR-SKEL offers an extra inch of forward cantilever for proper eye relief when using 30 mm optics with large eye boxes. MSRP: $149.99 warnescopemounts.com

C. Compatible with firearms sporting a minimum barrel length of 3 inches, the LaserLyte Laser Bore Sight includes an adapter kit that fits .22- to .50-caliber pistols and rifles. The sleek, tapered design interfaces easily with most flash hiders and muzzle brakes. The laser beam, which can be seen out to 100 yards at night, is powered by three included 393 batteries. MSRP: $51.99 midwayusa.com

D. Offering gunsmith precision without added expense, the Weaver Deluxe Scope Mounting Tool Kit features all the essential components needed to professionally install optics on your firearms. In addition to containing common flat- and hex-head bits, a torque wrench safeguards against over-tightening, while SureThread adhesive prevents the screws from loosening under recoil. Lapping tools, a modular leveling system and an instructional DVD round out this must-have kit. MSRP: $144.95 vistaoutdoor.com
