Box-fed shotguns have become fashionable in recent years, offering super-fast reloading times compared to the often-laborious process of loading each shell into the magazine by hand. The new Escort DF12 shotgun combines the fast reload of a box-fed magazine with the styling of a modern sporting rifle to create a hard-hitting package that’s ideal for close-range hunting, personal defense or other applications. The DF12 has a 5-piece multi-choke system which accommodates heavy slugs as well as it does light birdshot, making it a great all-around choice for a wide variety of uses.

Ease of use is built right into the DF12. The upper and lower receivers are detachable in much the same way to an AR-15, and the cocking handle is reversible, making it easy to use for both right-handed and left-handed shooters. The DF-12 is chambered for 3-inch magnum shotshells and will cycle both 3 inch and 2 3/4-inch shells with equal ease. The fore-end has upper and lower Picatinny rails to add accessories, lights and lasers, and the top of the upper receiver has more Picatinny rails on it to add a red dot sight or other optic.

The stock and comb of the DF12 are both adjustable, allowing them to accommodate a variety of different-sized shooters, and has a manual cross-bolt safety and angled pistol grip. Two shot magazines are available for states with a restriction on ammunition capacity restrictions for hunting, and a five-shot magazine is also available.

MSRP for the Escort DF12 is $699.99. More information is available at hatsanusa.com.
