In an effort to improve the functionality of the company's pistol-stabilizing brace design, SIG Sauer unveiled its new Pivoting Contour Brace for 2019. The new brace design will be included on pistol variants of the company's MCX and MPX platforms and will also be sold separately.

“This new pivoting contour brace has been re-engineered to increase functionality” said Tom Taylor, chief marketing officer and executive vice president for SIG Sauer commercial sales. “The minimalist design of the brace makes it lightweight, and by design there are more points of contact between the brace and the user increasing control for better accuracy, while the 360-degree pivoting arm only enhances the overall user-friendliness of the brace to enhance the shooting experience.”

The pivoting arm located at the rear of the SIG Sauer Pivoting Contour Brace provides limitless options for users looking to find the most-comfortable brace position in connection with their forearm. An included strap located at the bottom of the brace allows users to secure the design to their forearm, and the brace will pivot and turn as shooters extend their shooting arm outward. This avoids the awkward resistance felt when using many of today's braces. When not in use, the brace folds along the left side of the receiver, so it won't impede access to the ejection port or charging handle. Securing the brace to the rear of any SIG Sauer MCX or MPX pistol is easy, thanks to the included 1913 Picatinny adapter.

SIG Sauer highlighted the new brace design at the National Family Day Learn to Shoot Again event in San Antonio, TX, sponsored by Honored American Veterans Afield. Through using the brace, disabled veterans were able to learn a new course of fire while adjusting for different targets and barriers without having to re-adjust the brace. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Pivoting Contour Brace will go toward HAVA's Learn to Shoot Again program. As a standalone accessory, the SIG Sauer PCB is available in black only, and the suggested retail price is $199.
