Designed to enhance the capacity of the popular Smith & Wesson M&P pistol lineup, the Samson Manufacturing M&P Contour Magazine Extension is a simple add-on that is compatible with both standard M&P9 pistols as well as Smith & Wesson's newer M2.0 handgun lineup. The extension provides an extra three rounds over the capacity capabilities of the gun's OEM magazine.

“Our Carry Contour magazine extensions have been designed with input from professional instructors in the firearms training industry," Samson Manufacturing CEO Tim Mulverhill said. "Every cut and contour represent a functional detail that will keep you in the fight, unlike other base pads and extensions that only have cosmetic detailing whose only purpose is to lighten your wallet."

Made completely in the USA at the company's New Hampshire manufacturing facility, each Samson Manufacturing M&P9 Contour Mag Extension is machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum and treated with a hard-coat anodized finish for added durability. The company's initial model is built to work with 9 mm factory magazines and can function reliably while using the mag's original factory spring, all while adding three extra rounds. A version designed to work with .40 S&W magazines is also being developed.

In addition to adding extra capacity, the M&P Contour Magazine Extension also features special relief cuts on each side of the extension, as well as a special contour on the front facing edge that provides added capabilities to the defensive shooter.

From the initial concept, these extensions were intended to do more than add additional capacity to your pistol," Mulverhill said. "The profile is cut to aid in malfunction clearance as well as one-handed manipulations, and the weight aids in the magazine dropping free of the magwell.”

Each Samson Manufacturing M&P9 Contour Mag Extension measures 1.875 inches long, 1.25 inches wide, 0.625 inch high and weighs 0.95 ounce. The suggested retail price on the extension is $29.99.
