Ever since its unveiling at the 2018 NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibits, the Mossy Oak-patterned X-Ring Takedown Rifle (in .22 LR), from Tactical Solutions, has met with staggering demand. Now at long last, Tactical Solutions has announced that the rifle has begun shipping in Fall 2018.

The lightweight takedown weighs in at just 3.7 lbs. and features a Magpul Backpacker stock decked out in Mossy Oak Bottomland. Its barrel measures 16.5-inches, with a 1:16-inch twist rate, and is threaded to allow the addition of a suppressor. While the rifle does come with a green, fiber-optic front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight, it has an integrated 15-MOA scope base on the receiver, so you can add any optic of your choosing. To release your shot, the X-Ring Takedown features a crisp Ruger BX-Trigger, breaking at 2.5-3 pounds.

“We can't be more excited for this collaborative rifle to finally hit retail channels," said Mike Corkish, TacSol director of sales. "From the time we announced our Backpacker in the Mossy Oak Bottomland pattern, we have received overwhelming response to the look and features of this rifle."

On the other side of things, Chris Paradise, Mossy Oak’s Chief of Sales chimed in, “We’re seeing an increase in original Bottomland for firearms decoration. Outdoors enthusiasts don’t just see their hunting rifles as a tool for the hunt, but as collector’s items that can be passed down to the next generation. Bottomland offers both concealment and a unique design for these high-quality, long-lasting firearms like the X-Ring Takedown rifle from Tactical Solutions. This is a really special rifle featuring Mossy Oak’s founding pattern, Bottomland, which gives it both function and future appeal.”

The X-Ring Takedown currently MSRPs for $1,205, and is available at any Tactical Solutions dealer. For all the details on the new Mossy-Oak-finished TacSol X-Ring Rifle and other rifles in the company's lineup, check out their website here.
