Century Arms expanded its AK pistol lineup early in 2018 with the launch of the C39v2 Blade AK pistol. This new design blends the company's popular AK pistol model with the Shockwave Blade pistol-stabilizing brace, providing consumers with a much more stable shooting platform.

“The addition of the Shockwave Blade offers a very handy and accurate pistol with the reliability and durability you would expect from an AK,” Century Arms Director of Sales Jason Karvois said.

The Shockwave Blade pistol-stabilizing brace used in the unique package is constructed from glass-reinforced polymer for added durability and attaches to the Century Arms C39v2 through the use of Century's innovative buffer-tube mounting adapter. This adapter attaches directly to the rear of the AK pistol's receiver, differentiating it from other designs in the market. For consumers looking to modify their already-owned AK pistols, the mounting adapter can be purchased from Century Arms as a separate component later in 2018.

The Century Arms C39v2 is built on a solid receiver milled from 4140 steel, which is then mated to a 10.6-inch barrel machined from 4150 chrome-moly steel and given a 1:10-inch rate of twist. The barrel is then treated with a nitride finish to enhance lubricity and corrosion resistance. Other features include a threaded muzzle with 14x1 mm standard metric threads compatible with aftermarket muzzle accessories and sound suppressors.

One of the stand-out features on the C39v2 is the company's improved side-scope rail. Century Arms claims that this is the first AK scope-rail mount to offer a reliable return to zero and provides more than four times the security and clamping power versus traditional AK side-rail mounts. The pistol is also equipped with an improved RAK-1 trigger group and features a T-shaped magazine catch, bolt-hold open notch and ambidextrous quick-detach sling-mounting points.

Each Century Arms C39v2 Blade AK pistol is equipped with a Magpul MOE AK pistol grip and handguard, and the gun is compatible with all aftermarket AKM furniture. Each pistol ships with a single 30-round magazine, and the suggested retail price on the gun is $949.99.
