DeSantis Gunhide is one of the first companies out with an extensive line of holster fits for the all-new Smith & Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ, a handgun purpose-built to provide users with an easy-to-use, easy-shooting handgun designed for personal defense.

In total, five holsters are part of the first batch of carry rigs provided by the company in the first quarter of 2018, offering consumers with a range of carry methods and designs that allow them to choose the holster that best fits their personal-defense needs.

The first holster available for the Smith & Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ is the company's popular Mini Scabbard, which provides a minimalist, outside-the-waistband design that's reduced to the essentials needed for a safe, secure and comfortable carry rig. The holster is made from black or tan leather, which is molded to the exact contours of the pistol, ensuring that the gun rides securely inside the leather. An adjustable tension screw enables owners to fine-tune the level of retention that keeps the gun secured in the holster. The Mini Scabbard will fit belts up to 1.5 inches wide.

For inside-the-waistband carry, the DeSantis Pro Stealth offers consumers an affordable, compact option that not only carries the handgun securely but also features an additional pouch on the leading edge of the holster that stores a spare magazine. The holster is crafted from ballistic nylon and the interior is lined with pack cloth for a slick, snag-free draw. A 1.75-inch spring clip attaches the holster to the belt and can be swapped to either side of the rig for right- or left-hand carry. The holster can also be had with a thumb break for added retention.

Like the Pro Stealth, the DeSantis Tuck This II is also crafted from ballistic nylon, features an interior lining fashioned from pack cloth and comes with an integral pouch designed to carry a spare magazine. However, the critical difference on the Tuck This II can be seen in the belt tab, which can be adjusted for cant and carry depth and is usable for strong-side or cross-draw carry. Additionally, unlike the Pro Stealth, the holster's tab is also tuckable, giving users the ability to conceal the gun and holster opening beneath a tucked shirt.

Offering another outside-the-waistband carry option is the Thumb Break Mini Slide holster, which is constructed from attractive saddle leather and features nicely finished stitching around the reinforced areas of the rig. The leather is finely molded to all of the contours of the pistol, ensuring a precision fit, and retention is fully adjustable with the included tension screw. The two-slot belt attachment can accommodate belts measuring up to 1.75 inches wide.

Finally, for a compact, minimalist, unobtrusive IWB carry holster, DeSantis provides users with its Inside Heat option. This bare-essentials rig provides users with everything they need and nothing they don't, featuring construction from durable, black saddle leather with precision-molded contours. The holster mouth is reinforced to facilitate reholstering, and the entire setup is attached to the belt via a single spring clip.

The suggested retail prices on the new DeSantis holster fits for the Smith & Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ range from $38.99 for the Pro Stealth up to $74.99 for the Thumb Break Mini Slide.
