Beretta is running a giveaway promotion through Dec. 18 that will award one lucky participant a day with a free Beretta APX pistol of their choice and there is no cost to enter. To participate in the “30 Guns in 30 Days” sweepstakes, participants (21 years old or older) need to visit the special web page,  enter their information to the prompted questions, and choose from one of the Beretta APX models available—Full Size, FDE, Combat, RDO, and Compact.

Even if you don’t win, every entrant in the giveaway promotion receives a 20 percent discount redeemable on berettausa.com. Winners will be selected daily and participants can re-enter the sweepstake each day by completing a new entry form. California and Massachusetts residents, whose state laws do not allow the sale of APX models, will be awarded an alternative handgun model.

The Beretta APX line is tailored for military and law enforcement users, although “ A common misconception around the Beretta APX involves the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System (MHS) program for choosing a new handgun for our Soldiers (which was ultimately won by SIG Sauer’s P320),” explains Jay Grazio in his review of the full-sized version. “Because the APX’s development occurred during the original phase of the MHS project, it was assumed that the pistol was developed in response to the MHS program. Well, the APX had been on the drawing board before that process began, but make no mistake: The APX was designed with the law enforcement and military communities in mind.”

Features include replaceable grip frame housings and a removable, serialized chassis frame, which makes the pistol easy to disassemble and maintain. This striker-fired pistol—available in 9 mm and .40 S&W—utilizes an aggressive full-length slide serration that ensures easy slide manipulations under any conditions.
