Smith & Wesson aimed to provide consumers with an affordable, feature-rich AR-10-style platform for 2018, and the answer was the company's new M&P10 Sport, which is set to sell at a suggested retail price of $1,049, meaning it'll be seen on gun-store shelves for less than $1,000.

For that, owners get a ready-to-roll package complete with an optics-ready top rail and a railed gas block allowing for the addition of iron sights. The rifle's barrel uses accuracy-enhancing 5R rifling, and the gun is equipped with a mil-spec collapsible stock and handguard.
