Any AR-15 owner who runs their rifle through range drills is intimately familiar with inaccessible carbon build-up located in all of those hard-to-reach areas on your AR-15 bolt-carrier group. Now, the Real Avid AR-15 Carbon Boss tool gives users a purpose-built tool that scrapes away carbon from every conceivable area, ensuring that your rifle remains in peak condition.

Real Avid considers its AR-15 Carbon Boss to be one of the most comprehensive cleaning tools ever developed for the AR platform, thanks to 12 specially designed surfaces that help to clean every previously inacessible part of the AR-15's bolt-carrier group. The multi-tool features a unique, triangular, folding design that allows every tool to collapse down into a compact, easy-to-carry cleaning device that fits into any range pack or rifle bag.

The core of the triangular Carbon Boss is a frame made from chemical-resistant resin that provides a durable mounting point for each of the individual tools. Tools on the product are machined from non-hardened 420 stainless steel, ensuring that they remain protected against corrosion when cleaning. The tool even helps to get your AR-15 apart prior to maintenance, thanks to a built-in punch that easily pops out takedown pins. In addition, the Carbon Boss also includes a puller for stubborn cotter pins holding the firing pin into place.

Once the rifle is disassembled, owners of the Real Avid AR-15 Carbon Boss can get to work, scraping away carbon from the internal surfaces of the bolt, bolt carrier, firing pin and cam pin. Specially designed surfaces allow for easy removal of carbon from the bolt face and the shoulder of the bolt tail.

For the rest of the bolt-carrier group, the tool includes a 360-degree bronze-phosphor brush that easily scrapes carbon of the surface of the carrier. The Carbon Boss also includes a traditional bronze brush for more conventional cleaning.

In addition to all of these added features, the Real Avid AR-15 Carbon Boss also includes a durable storage and carrying case made from ballistic nylon. The suggested retail price on the Carbon Boss is $29.99.
