Ed Brown introduced one of its latest custom products in its one-piece Hardcore Magwell, designed specifically for the 1911 pistol.

"Just another instance where Ed Brown Products set the standards for custom 1911s and related parts and accessories," said John May, sales and marketing director for Ed Brown Products. "Our focus is as it has been for almost 50 years now, providing the industry's best customer service, highest quality products available and the only Written Lifetime Warranty."

The one-piece magwell design from the company is completely constructed from a single piece of bar-stock steel and provides users with both a textured mainspring housing combined with an enlarged and funneled magazine-well opening that facilitates faster and smoother reloads versus a traditional 1911 magazine well.

In addition, the Ed Brown Hardcore Magwell features rounded edges, providing users with a 1911 they can carry comfortably without sacrificing reload speed. The magwell is just as at home on a competition-level 1911 as it is on a dedicated concealed-carry gun.

The Hardcore Magwell is also machined with a flat-bottom finish, giving it an attractive, low-profile look that doesn't stand out on any pistol. The magwell is also designed to fit precisely with any pair of flat-bottom 1911 grips, providing a seamless appearance for any gun.

Ed Brown offers its Hardcore Magwell in 12 different variants, providing 1911 owners with their choice of finish and treatment. Stainless-steel models are available as well as magwells with a traditional blued finish. Buyers have their choice of the company's Skip-Line, 25 lines-per-inch checkering, Chainlink, Chainlink III and Snakeskin metal finishes.

For pistol owners who prefer to have a custom finish applied to match the rest of their handgun, Ed Brown also offers its magwell in a smooth finish that's the perfect starting point for any gunsmithing project.

The suggested retail price on the Ed Brown Hardcore Magwell for 1911 pistols starts at $149.95.
