Savage Arms announced the launch of its new Model 10 GRS rifle chambered in the 6 mm Creedmoor, a cartridge that is growing rapidly in popularity. The new rifle is designed to offer enhanced performance for precision-rifle shooters and is tailor-made for competition shooters.

The popularity of the 6 mm Creedmoor started by simply shrinking the case neck of the popular 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge, producing a round that can drive 6 mm-caliber bullets accurately out to 1,000 yards and beyond, all while producing little recoil.

The Savage Arms Model 10 GRS rifle takes advantage of the inherent accuracy of this relatively new cartridge by using its proven Model 10 action and bedding it in a GRS stock, which is constructed from fiberglass-reinforced Durethan, along with glass-bedding material to ensure accuracy.

The stock features ergonomic, trimmed-down contours and features special texturing that allows shooters to maintain a solid grip on the rifle, even in moist environments. The stock also allows for a full range of customization, allowing users to adjust the length of pull from 33.5 to 36.5 centimeters. Cheek-riser height can also be adjusted in order to allow owners to comfortably interface with any optic at any height.

The Savage action is paired with a fluted, button-rifled heavy barrel and also features the company's adjustable AccuTrigger for the best possible interface between the shooter and the rifle. The barrel features a 5/8-24 TPI threaded muzzle and measures a total of 26 inches long.

The Savage Arms Model 10 GRS rifle feeds from an included 10-round magazine, and the magazine well is compatible with all AICS-pattern rile magazines. The gun also features flush-cup sling loops, along with a separate sling mount for use with a bipod.

The suggested retail price on the new Savage Arms Model 10 GRS rifle in 6 mm Creedmoor is $1,449.
