Bear Ops, a division of Bear & Son Cutlery, announced the launch of its new Incognito Automatic knife, which features a quick-deploy mechanism and is designed to be an ideal everyday-carry companion.

"The progress of the Incognito Automatic was extensive. Bear Ops is an American-made tactical line, recognized for its reliability in some of the world’s harshest environments," said Ken Griffey, president of Bear & Son Cutlery. "We felt the brand should expand its tough reputation from the frontlines to the urban work place. By offering a new look, feel and purpose, we feel the Incognito Automatic and Bear Ops will remain an industry pioneer in the development of new high-end automatics."

To design the new Incognito knife, Bear Ops tapped the expert knowledge of Steve Jernigan, a renowned knife designer. Together, Jernigan and Bear Ops developed a blade that features a slim profile, enabling it to be carried discreetly in any pocket. The knife also features a recessed button that deploys the blade on demand, ensuring that users can have their go-to tool at the ready whenever they need it.

The Incognito Automatic knife is built with a Sandvik blade, which measures 2.625 inches in overall length. When closed, the knife measures a scant 3.5 inches long and weighs only 2.6 ounces. On the outside of the knife, gray stainless-steel handles contribute to the overall look and durability of a knife ready for use in any environment.

To facilitate easy carry, the Incognito comes equipped with a pocket clip set up for tip-down carry. The company used a pen-style clip in order to allow for deep carry while ensuring that, from the outside, the clip looks like an ordinary pen being carried in a pocket.

A note to online shoppers: Bear & Son Cutlery will not ship its automatic knives outside of its home state of Alabama. For out-of-state buyers, they must first consult their local laws regarding automatic-knife ownership and carry and then contact a local dealer.

The suggested retail price on the Bear Ops Incognito Automatic knife is $229.99.
