Crimson Trace announced new additions to its Laserguard line of laser sights, focused primarily on offering new red and green laser options for the Smith & Wesson M&P45 Shield and the Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 pistols. The company also announced the addition of a green Laserguard model for the Walther PPS M2.

The company added these new product to an already expansive line of Laserguard products, each designed to fit specifically around the trigger guards of concealed-carry pistols. The Laserguard system operates using the Crimson Trace Instinctive Activation operation, which provides users with a pressure pad located underneath the trigger guard for easy activation while assuming a firing grip on a pistol.

The Laserguard assembly is designed to integrate seamlessly onto available firearm designs and includes custom features that match the firearm on which the unit is installed. The laser sight features windage and elevation adjustments and are sighted-in at the factory to be on-target at a distance of 50 feet.

The first Crimson Trace Laserguard model was designed for the Ruger LCP in 2007, and the company has since added models for a number of manufacturers, including Beretta, Glock, Kahr Arms, Kel-Tec, Remington, Ruger, SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson and Taurus handguns. The Laserguard system is also available in special consumer packaging, along with custom holster designs that accommodate the system.

The suggested retail price for the Crimson Trace Laserguard starts at $229. Green-laser models with an included Blade-Tech holster retail at a suggested price of $329.
