Ruger announced the addition of the Elite AR-15 Lower to the company's product line, offering consumers the same lower receiver found on Ruger's popular AR-556 rifle.

The new lower is CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features a hard-coat anodized finish. The lower is offered completely finished and includes pivot and takedown pins, bolt catch, magazine release, trigger guard, buffer tube, buffer and spring.

The lower also comes with several upgraded components. First, it comes with a Magpul MOE six-position butt stock, along with an ergonomic Magpul MOE pistol grip that provides an extended trigger reach and more precise trigger control.

The gun also comes equipped with Ruger's Elite 452 AR Trigger, which features a two-stage pull with a crisp 4.5-pound break. The company also claims that this trigger, a genuine factory accessory, provides 30 percent faster lock times than standard AR-15 rifles.

The suggested retail price on the new Ruger AR Lower Elite is $299.
