FIME Group introduced the Slovenian Arex Rex Zero 1S pistol to the US market in 2016, but the pistols were not available in states with magazine restrictions, due to its 15- and 17-round capacity. Now, FIME Group and MSR Distribution are offering 10-round Rex pistol models.

"The 10-round Rex opens up an entirely new market for pistol buyers who weren't able to buy the 17- or 15-round models, due to firearm restrictions," said Tim Gomez, manager of MSR Distribution. "Now we can get a solid pistol into the hands of people in Maryland and even Hawaii."

The Arex Rex Zero 1S pistol is constructed with a hard-anodized T7075 aluminum frame with a locking-block insert made from solid bar stock. The slide is made from nitrocarburized steel and features front and rear cocking serrations. The gun features a 4.3-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel.

Other features of the Rex Zero 1S include an ambidextrous safety and magazine release. The gun also features a slide stop that works as a de-cocking lever for DA/SA operation. According to the company, the Rex Zero 1S complies with military standards for reliability and is rated for use in extreme temperature and hostile environments. The pistol has also passed industry drop tests. The company expects the service life of the handgun to exceed 30,000 rounds.

The suggested retail price for the Arex Rex Zero 1S pistol is $670.
