Frontier Tactical announced the launch of its FT-15 series of rifles and lower receivers, offering rifles in two different configurations.

The company is offering the FT-15 Entry Carbine, an optic-ready AR aimed at giving beginner AR buyers a rifle with a few upgrades while allowing for further modifications. The rifle comes standard with a 5.56 NATO barrel with a 1:8 twist rate and a standard A2 flash hider.

Several upgrades on the Entry Carbine include the addition of Magpul MOE furniture and a low-profile gas block, allowing users to add different accessory rails with ease. The upper receiver also features an enlarged ejection port designed to give the rifle added compatibility with big-bore cartridges like the .450 Bushmaster, .458 SOCOM and the .50 Beowulf. All other components are standard mil-spec.

The company also offers its FT-15 War Lock Entry Carbine. The War Lock features many of the same components found on the entry-level carbine, such as the flattop receiver, low-profile gas block, Magpul MOE furniture and enlarged ejection port for big-bore cartridges.

The added capability of the War Lock carbine comes in the inclusion of the company's War Lock Multiple Caliber System. This system features a proprietary barrel-attachment device that allows users to quickly and easily swap out complete barrel and handguard assemblies without changing the upper receiver.

Frontier Tactical rifles are made in the USA and use 7075-T6 aluminum forging for the lower receiver. The receivers feature a mil-spec hard-coat anodized finish and are machined to ensure drop-in installation of mil-spec and aftermarket components.

The FT-15 Entry Carbine retails at a suggested price of $800, while the War Lock Entry Carbine sells at a suggested price of $1,200. A stripped lower receiver from Frontier Tactical retails for $125.
