Dialing in the exact fit between rifle and rifleman is critical to precise long-range shooting. Now, Weatherby shooters can achieve just that in the new Vanguard Adaptive Composite rifle. The new rifle features a specially-designed stock that allows each owner to adjust pull length, comb height and buttstock angle for a custom fit.

"At Weatherby, our creed is that Nothing Shoots Flatter, Hits Harder or is More Accurate," said Jason Evans VP of Weatherby Sales & Product Development. "That said, accuracy is the one Weatherby virtue that also rests squarely on the shooter's shoulders. To perform at the highest level, the fit between gun and gunner is of utmost importance – which is why we worked so hard to develop the fully-adjustable, adaptive Vanguard."

Stock adjustments can be made quickly, whether in the shop or in the field. Rubberized grip panels ensure a secure, non-slip grip wherever skin comes in contact with the rifle. Within the adaptive stock lies the backbone of the Vanguard: a 20-inch No. 3 contour threaded barrel chambered in either .223 Rem., 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Win. and guaranteed for sub-MOA accuracy. The barrel is cold hammer forged with a flush thread cap for easy suppressor addition. The blue steel is matte bead-blasted for non-glare stealth.

The Vanguard Adaptive Composite rifle has a match-grade, two-stage trigger that's creep-free for a clean, crisp break. The bolt body is fluted to reduce weight, decrease bearing surface area and eliminate binding for a smoother action. A one-piece machined receiver comes standard with an integral recoil lug.

The suggested retail price on the new Weatherby Vanguard Adaptive Composite rifle is $1,269.
