The X11 Modular Carbine from SKELI was developed over five years with the primary goal of incorporating as many technological advancements as possible into a modern, next-generation modern sporting rifle.

This goal led to the incorporation of several desirable features, including a reduced-angle pistol grip, folding stock, Magpul M-LOK handguard, ambidextrous charging handle, ambidextrous fire controls, left- and right-side ejection, a quick-change barrel and the ability to take STANAG magazines.

At the heart of the rifle is the company's patented piston-driven bolt carrier, which allows the carbine to fully cycle in a more compact space than other sporting rifles on the market today, giving the X11 an advantage when it comes to compact carry and tight shooting scenarios.

The gun features a short-stroke piston gas system with an adjustable gas block and a rotating bolt. Overall length of the X11 is 34 inches, and the carbine weighs 6.8 pounds unloaded. The rifle is chambered in 5.56 NATO and comes with a Magpul PMAG 30.

One of the more innovative features found on the X11 Carbine is the quick-change free-float barrel. According to the company, users can change calibers and configurations within 60 seconds using the quick-change system. The barrel is said to maintain its zero, even after repeated barrel changes. The adjustable piston system operates independently from the barrel structure, making caliber conversions lighter and less expensive.

The SKELI X11 Modular Carbine is completely made in the USA and retails at a suggested price of $1,449. A 16-inch .300 BLK conversion kit retails at a suggested price of $285. Two other 16-inch conversion kits for 6.8 SPC II and 6.5 Grendel retail at a suggested price of $395. left- and right-hand bolt assemblies are also available for $120.
