Consumers in the market for a handcrafted 1911 from Guncrafter Industries just received another choice. The company is now making its American 1911 model in 9 mm.

"We continue to see an increase in demand for our pistols in 9 mm. Although we currently chamber our full line of No Name and Frag pistols in 9 mm, we're adding 9 mm to the American line to better serve our LE/Military clients and civilians who want a light/laser on their pistol," Guncrafter Industries President Alex Zimmermann said.

Standard features on the Guncrafter American 1911 include a Picatinny rail that is integral to the frame, an ambidextrous safety, ledge sights with tritium inserts, 15 lines-per-inch 90-degree checkering and a one-piece magazine well with an integral lanyard loop. The entire pistol, including the match-grade barrel, is machined from tool steel and every sharp edge is dehorned.

In addition, the pistol comes with the company's transferable lifetime warranty, plus an annual no-charge wellness check that allows owners of Guncrafter pistols to send in their handguns once a year for complete inspection and cleaning. Every Guncrafter 1911 is personally test-fired by the company's president, Alex Zimmermann, before it leaves the Arkansas factory.

The Guncrafter American 1911 comes in stainless and Melonite finishes and retails at a suggested price of $2,895.
