A common complaint about night sights is they are less-than-useful during daylight hours (or in brightly lit rooms). Low-light conditions allow tritium sights to shine (pun intended), but those green glowing sights don't show up in bright light like they do in the dark.

TruGlo's TFX Night Sights address this concern by housing the tritium capsule inside a fiber-optic pipe, then wrapping everything up in a machined housing. The front sight contains what TruGlo deems a "Focus Lock" dot: a white ring encircles the tritium-filled fiber optic post to better draw the eye to the front sight.

Fully protected TFO (Tritium/Fiber Optic) technology is encapsulated in a rugged housing the company claims is impervious to oils, chemicals, cleaning solvents and ultra-sonic cleaning processes. The sights use Swiss tritium for maximum brightness, and no outside power is required. The housing ensures neither the fiber optic nor the tritium is observed by the intended target.
