Leave it to Kel-Tec to bring an exciting new carbine to market.

The company's new CMR-30 carbine, in .22 WMR, uses the same 30-round, flush-fit magazine as the PMR-30 pistol. It has a sliding stock which opens and retracts by means of a lever near the handguard, and a threaded, 16-inch barrel for wringing the most out of all 30 .22 Mag. rounds.

With an MSRP of $630, light weight (3.8 pounds) and promised availability, the CMR-30 is positioned well in a market fairly devoid of semi-automatic rimfire magnums. The short overall length, especially when the stock is retracted, means the CMR-30 is a definite choice when space is a consideration.
