Bushnell T100L Flashlight

An integral part of EDC gear is a small, hand-held flashlight. Important in many ways both defensively and operationally, a good light can help you find your way in the dark, momentarily stun an assailant or signal for help in a bad situation.

Bushnell's T100L fits the hand well, designed for sure purchase and easy activation. A single AA battery powers the light for 1 hour on high setting and more than 4 hours on the red setting. Switching between the settings is simple and intuitive: Press once for high, press again for red light. If you push and hold, the light is momentarily on.

The red setting is intriguing. In low- or no-light settings, turning on a 150+ lumen flashlight can be very distracting and disorienting. Especially if you're only trying to navigate your way to your side of the bedroom when your significant other has already gone to sleep. Being able to shine a low-light red beam (which doesn't affect light orientation anywhere near as strongly as white light) is a huge bonus.

MSRP: $45.99 (OpticsPlanet).
