Want to train with five-time world champion shooter Rob Leatham? You can if you are the lucky grand-prize winner of Springfield-Armory's "Duel II" promotion, which includes a $3,000 gift card for use toward transportation to Rob's home state of Arizona, hotel, food, beverages and ammunition.

But even if you don't win the grand prize, how does this sound for awesome "runner-up" prizes: Springfield-Armory is giving away firearms. A lot of them. So how many is "a lot?" Keep reading.

Throughout August 2014, Springfield-Armory site visitors will have the chance to win thousands of prizes on top of the above-mentioned grand prize, such as discounts and firearms from Springfield Armory. New prizes will be given away every day for the entire month.

To participate, visitors must register for the promotion online, after which they can vote once every hour for the duration of the promotion. The more you vote, the more chances you have to win. More than $100,000 worth of prizes will be given away, including five new Range Officer .45 Compacts on August 2. Participants can also win a variety of M1A rifles, XD, XD(M) and XD-S pistols, as well as 1911s. Other items that will be awarded throughout the month include thousands of online store promo codes of varying value, clothing, merchandise and gear.

Participants are encouraged to vote once an hour to increase their chances of winning; each participant can enter up to 24 times per day. Votes accumulate throughout the week, and on "Duel Days," two winners will win one of the dueling firearms. All votes entered during the month will also serve as entries into the grand prize drawing.

"The Duel II promotion is a great way to get our customers and fans excited for our products and firearms in general," said Chad Dyer, marketing manager for Springfield Armory. "We recently launched a newly designed website, and by offering participants a variety of high-value, high-quality prizes, we're able to offer our fans something they'll love. It's our way of saying 'Thanks.'"
