Just got finished awarding Shooting Illustrated's 2014 Golden Bullseye Awards for the top products of 2013. If you were unable to attend the breakfast at the 2014 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Indianapolis, I'll post our picks here along with my brief comments. We'll start with our Rifle of the Year, the Beretta ARX100.

I remember first hearing about the Beretta ARX-160 in 2008, when it was adopted by select units of the Italian military. We were all very excited about it and looked forward to a civilian-legal variant. Well, finally it has arrived. With the semi-automatic ARX100, our hopes were met and then some. From its innovative use of polymer to its quick-change barrel, the ARX100 is clearly a 21st century rifle. It has all the qualities worthy of the Golden Bullseye Award.
