Knives for the demanding conditions faced in survival and tactical situations continue to play a growing role in Buck's product line. The new addition is another knife based on a design by the late Ron Hood—the 065 Buck/Hood Punk.

This new outdoor/survival/adventure knife can handle the most rugged outdoor terrain or conditions. Based on Ron Hood's design and built to Buck's quality standards, the Punk is easy to carry in its M.O.L.L.E.-compatible black nylon sheath with a front storage pouch, and it's tough and durable enough for any hard-core task. The secure and comfortable Micartahandle is built with a Shock Mitigation System (SMS) to reduce shock and wasted energy when chopping or doing other demanding tasks.

The 5 5/8-inch straight clip blade is made of tough 5160 alloy steel, is .175-inch thick for added strength and has a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance. This spring steel is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of 57-59HRC for superior edge retention and ductility. It has a deep finger groove for safe use. Overall length is 11 inches and it weighs only 7.4 ounces.

Made in the U.S., the 065 Buck/Hood Punk is backed by Buck's famous Forever Warranty. MSRP is $180.
