Few shooters understand the premise behind Dynamic Research Technologies (DRT) ammunition. Even fewer think the concept has merit. DRT bullets utilize a compressed, powdered-metal core with a thin jacket. After impact, the front section of the core—which is not compressed as much as the rear section—essentially decompresses. The result is violent tissue destruction and optimal penetration due to the harder compressed rear core. This 150-grain .45 ACP load was very soft shooting out of a 5-inch-barreled, steel-frame gun and proved quite accurate as well. What else could you ask for?
