The West Virginia State Police selected the Trijicon TA44SR-10 ACOG as its carbine optic and has purchased 800 units of the scope for its officers.

Col. C.R. "Jay" Smithers of the West Virginia State Police commented, "After a thorough competitive evaluation process, the ACOG was the best fit for our department. We are confident that the TA44 will reliably serve our troopers in the years to come."

In an interesting coincidence, the TA44S-10 ACOG was awarded the Shooting Illustrated 2010 Golden Bullseye Award for Best Optic. "Once again, our expert judgement was ahead of the curve," Editor in Chief Guy J. Sagi commented. "The editors knew that the Trijicon TA44S-10 ACOG was one of the best tactical optics on the market in 2010, long before others were even aware of its existence."
